Modernization of Short-Cycle Press Line

In summer 2025, we carried out an extensive modernization of a short-cycle overlaying line. The project covered the entire production line and included major upgrades to both the mechanical equipment and the electrical and automation systems.

As part of the modernization, the line's existing overlaying equipment was completely replaced with new equipment. The press loading and unloading carriage and the related conveyors were also replaced. Mechanically, the press itself as well as the line's destacking and stacking equipment were retained.

The electrical and automation systems were extensively modernized. The line's electrical cabinets were replaced, including those for the mechanically retained equipment. Field cabling, control panels, and sensors were also upgraded to the extent agreed with the customer.

As part of the project, we also carried out a safety assessment of the entire production line. Based on the assessment, we designed and implemented the necessary safety-related modifications as part of the modernization.

Overall, the project significantly upgraded the line's technology while allowing existing equipment that remained suitable for continued use to be retained as part of the production line.
