Extensive Modernization of Hot Press Line
In summer 2026, MaNiTek carried out an extensive modernization of a hot press line for a customer in the Baltic region. The project covered the entire production line and included major mechanical modifications as well as upgrades to the line's safety and automation systems.
The infeed section of the line was completely renewed. The delivery included new stack conveyors, an automatic feeding unit, and infeed conveyors. The press loading cage was also completely replaced, while the outfeed conveyor system was partially modernized.
One of the most significant modifications was increasing the capacity of the hot press from 16 to 20 openings. Four new heating platens were added to the existing platens. This required redesigning and modifying the spacing of the entire press to integrate the additional platens into the existing press structure. The main press structures, press frames, and hydraulic system were retained.

As part of the modernization, the line's safety systems were upgraded to meet current requirements. The protective guards for the thermal oil hoses were renewed, and new safety fencing and light curtains were installed around the line.
The project included dismantling the old equipment, on-site modifications, installation of the new equipment, as well as programming and commissioning of the complete system. The work was carried out during the customer's scheduled production shutdown and completed according to the agreed schedule.
As a result of the modernization, the customer can increase the production capacity of the line and reduce the amount of manual work required from operators.
